Reverend Holloway comes to First New Hope as one of the Sons of the House at Old Storm Branch Baptist Church; under the Pastorate of Reverend Nathaniel Irvin. Old Storm Branch has been a mainstay in the life of Reverend Holloway.
His father, the late Deacon Willie Holloway was a member of there; and his mother served as the Missionary Sunday School Teacher.
Reverend Holloway started out at Jefferson High School and continued his educational journey at the American Baptist College where he completed his Master’s Degree in Theology. He also attended The New York Community College. There he completed his studies and became a Certified Personnel Procedures and Sanitation Technician. He then extended his studies at City University and obtained a certificate in Human Resources in Environmental Sanitation. His hard work and education would lead him to gainful employment throughout his adult life and two successful retirements.
Reverend Holloway is a father of six children. Five daughters and one son who is deceased. He and his wife, Sis. Holloway were solid in their Christian walk and intensely dedicated to the Ministry God blessed them with. Our new pastor is recently widowed. He has suffered a great personal loss when called his wife and our first lady, Rosa Holloway home. We are already witnessing exponential growth as Reverend Holloway provides leadership at First New Hope Baptist Church. This really is just the beginning. God is doing a new Thing.
